WHAT IS TELANGIECTASIA?

Telangiectasia, are vascular skin lesions that represent skin blemishes and are often the symptoms of multiple pathologies. Whether hereditary or acquired, they are mainly located on the face and legs and can be present at any age, both in males and females. The phenomenon of photo-ageing and physiological ageing (which may also be the cause of dilation of the small blood vessels) is almost always constant during dermatitis or at the onset of Rosacea.

Associated Telangiectasis is provoked by an excess of contraceptives; however they can also appear during pregnancy. Cirrhosis of the liver is very frequently accompanied by vascular star Telangiectasis. Facial Telangiectasis and rosacea usually do not represent any great difficulties and can be safely treated with many types of laser, including the CO2 which is not a ‘vascular’ laser. What causes them?

Oxygenated blood flows from the heart to the extremities via the arteries and de-oxygenated bloody flows back to the heart via the veins with the help of ‘one-way valves’. Whenever these ‘valves’ fail to function properly, the blood does not glow in efficacious manner as a result, the veins which are now congested with blood begin to dilate. These dilated veins are commonly known as ‘Varicose Veins’ or Telangiectasis.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Clinical Skin Clear works on the principle that liquids are attracted to heat. It combines radio and high frequency technology to produce heat through its various treatment probes. This technology attracts fluids such: as sebum, cholesterol or blood; drying them out to effectively reduce or remove the skin irregularity. Treatments are very quick (some within a few seconds), and some may not even touch the skin’s surface.

The Clinical Skin Clear System works on the principle of radio-vaporization. This technology utilizes a combination of high frequency and radio frequency, which are attracted to liquids on the surface of the skin or within the skin irregularity. This enables the therapist to treat unsightly skin abnormalities without penetrating the skin’s surface. Treatments are quick [often within seconds of application process] and the treatment is tolerable. Treatment times and costs vary depending on the type and size of the skin lesion being treated.
